Seven-gill shark

A NEW Zealand man has survived being attacked by a shark: driving it off with his knife, stitching his own wound onshore and going to the pub for a beer before heading to hospital.

It wasn’t till James got back on dry land that he realised what had happened. In the spur of the moment, he had stabbed the shark, meaning that it let go, allowing him to scramble to shore. However, who he took the wetsuit off he realised the real damage. A series of bit marks surrounding his leg.
